Fred Hawthorne serves on CASONY’s Board of Directors.
Now retired, Mr. Hawthorne enjoyed a successful career at TIAA as a Relationship Manager. In this position, Mr. Hawthorne led teams that helped the company’s institutional clients effectively manage their retirement plans. Much of this work called on his expertise in operational efficiency, compliance and employee financial education.
Additionally, while at TIAA, Mr. Hawthorne co-chaired the company’s African-American and Caribbean Employee Resource Group at its NY Headquarters and was recognized for outstanding achievement with both TIAA’s Excellence and Chairman’s Awards. He is a member of the York Castle High School Alumni Association (New York Chapter) and has served as Board Member, Treasurer and President of the organization.
Mr. Hawthorne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College (CUNY) and a Master of Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology.
