Rupert Wade

Rupert Wade serves on CASONY’s Board of Directors.

He is currently the Section Manager for Electrical Projects in the Steam and Gas Engineering division of Consolidated Edison of New York. In this position, he leads a team of engineers and designers, managing capital projects and strategic initiatives that support the company’s steam generating equipment.

During his tenure at Con Ed, Mr. Wade’s various roles have spanned Field Engineering, Substation Equipment Engineering and Research and Development.

Previously, he served as Lead System Engineer for both normal and emergency AC systems at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station. Additionally,  he directed critical path activities during nuclear refuel outages.

Rupert Wade is also the founder of a non-profit dedicated to educating underserved communities on generative AI. He is passionate about finding untapped applications for AI in the energy and utility fields. He is also an active Toastmasters member and mentor, as well as an ultramarathon runner.

Mr. Wade holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University (SUNY).
